FAQs

Nigerian Students
Ask These.

What are the entry requirements for Aura's MBA?

+
You need a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university, with a minimum score of 55% (Second Class Lower or above). You must be under 30 years of age. If you have a study or career gap, a signed gap justification letter is mandatory. HND holders may be considered on a case-by-case basis — speak to GlobCred first.

Do I need IELTS to apply?

+
IELTS is not mandatory for Aura's admission. You can qualify with 65%+ in English in your secondary school certificate (WAEC/NECO) or an MOI certificate confirming your degree was taught in English. However, having an IELTS score (minimum 6.0) strongly improves your visa outcome at Campus France. GlobCred recommends it for Nigerian applicants.

How much do I pay before getting the visa?

+
Before your visa application can be submitted, you must pay 50% of the total tuition fee as the initial deposit. For MBA students (€11,400/yr × 2 years = €22,800 total), the deposit is approximately €11,400. For EMBA students (€11,200/yr), the deposit is approximately €5,600–€11,200 depending on duration. You must also pay the Campus France fee (~€100) and the VFS visa fee (€50). Your bank statement must show at least €12,000 in available funds (or a Studely blocked account of €8,000).

What is the Campus France process for Nigeria?

+
You must create an account on the Etudes en France platform and pay the ~€100 Campus France fee. You then attend an in-person academic interview at the Campus France office in Nigeria, where your academic documents are attested against originals. You receive a Campus France NOC letter with a registration number — this is required for your visa application. GlobCred guides you through every step of this process.

Are the programs taught in English?

+
Yes — all MBA and EMBA programs at Aura are delivered entirely in English. No French language proficiency is required for admission or for study. Basic French helps with daily life in Lyon, but is not an academic requirement.

Can I work part-time while studying in France?

+
Yes. French law permits international students to work up to 964 hours per year — approximately 24 hours per week. This is in addition to your paid internship semesters. The minimum legal internship stipend in France is €558/month. Combined with part-time work, Lyon is financially manageable.

What is the post-study work visa situation?

+
Students who complete an RNCP-certified Masters program in France are eligible for a post-study work APS permit of up to 2 years — allowing you to stay and work or seek employment in France after graduation. Confirm whether Aura's specific program holds RNCP certification directly with the school.

Are there scholarships available at Aura?

+
Yes. Aura offers three scholarship tiers: a €2,000 early enrolment scholarship for Year 1 students who enrol by 31st July 2025; a €700 merit scholarship for students who achieve 75%+ in Year 1; and a €3,000 Year 2 scholarship for students who maintain 75% attendance and academic score in Year 1. Total potential scholarship: up to €5,700 across the 2-year MBA.
